Why use a rug size calculator?

The most common decorating mistake is a rug that's too small. A rug that barely peeks out from under a sofa makes a room feel disjointed. Our calculator uses the same 18-inch clearance rules interior designers follow — giving you the right size for "all legs on", "front legs on", or floating configurations.

How much paint do I actually need?

One gallon of paint covers roughly 350–400 sq ft per coat. Our paint calculator subtracts door and window area, factors in your number of coats, and rounds up to the nearest whole gallon — so you buy the right amount and don't waste money on half-empty cans.

The wall art sizing rule designers use

Art should span 57–75% of the wall width behind it. Too narrow and it floats uncomfortably; too wide and it overwhelms. Our wall art calculator gives you a minimum, ideal, and maximum width for any wall, plus the standard hanging height (57–60 inches from floor to centre) that galleries and designers use universally.
