Is Breaking Canvas free to use?+
Yes. Every new account receives free credits to try the generator — no credit card required. When you run out, you can purchase a one-time credit pack starting at $4. There is no subscription.
What are credits and how do they work?+
Credits are the in-app currency for generating designs. Each time you click Generate, credits are deducted from your balance. Standard mode costs 1 credit and produces 1 design. Pro mode costs 4 credits and produces 1 high-resolution design. Credits never expire.
What is the difference between Standard and Pro quality?+
Standard (1 credit) generates a design quickly — ideal for exploring styles and combinations. Pro (4 credits) produces a high-resolution design with architectural detail, layered textures, and magazine-quality output suitable for sharing with contractors or on social media.
How many designs do I get per generation?+
Every generation produces 1 design. Download it, share it, or generate again to explore different styles and rooms.
Are my room photos stored or shared?+
No. Original uploads are stored in a private, encrypted cloud bucket and are automatically deleted within 1 hour of upload. We never share them, display them publicly, or use them to train AI models. Generated design images are stored separately and may be hosted on accessible URLs for your downloads and design history. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Who owns the generated designs?+
You do. Designs generated with your credits are yours for personal use — planning a renovation, sharing with family or contractors, or posting on social media. Commercial use (client deliverables, print-for-profit, reselling designs) requires written permission. See our Terms of Service for details.
What payment methods are accepted?+
We accept all major credit and debit cards, and most popular digital wallets via DodoPayments. All prices shown are tax-inclusive — no surprise charges at checkout. Credit packs are a one-time purchase and are non-refundable once bought.
